FAQ

How does DeckCheck work?

DeckCheck uses advanced computer vision to recognize English index playing cards (J, Q, K, A) through your device's camera. Just spread your cards out on a well-lit table, hover your phone over them, and the app will cross-reference what it sees against a complete 52-card deck to identify any missing cards.

Do I need an internet connection to scan?

No! DeckCheck is designed with privacy and speed in mind. All of the machine learning models process the video feed entirely locally on your device. You can verify your decks anywhere, entirely offline.

How should I spread the cards for the best results?

For the fastest and most accurate scan, spread the cards clearly on the table. Ensure that at least one corner (the index) of each card is visible to the camera. Good lighting will also significantly improve the recognition speed.

Can it scan stylized decks?

DeckCheck is currently optimized for 52-card poker and bridge-sized decks with English indices. Highly stylized novelty decks may have lower recognition accuracy.
